How to disable a Chipolo ONE Point?
The Chipolo ONE Point can be disabled to stop it from sharing its location. It will no longer report to Google's Find Hub network, and the owner can no longer get updates on its current location.
If you receive a message on your mobile device that a Chipolo ONE Point has been detected near you and you are not familiar with this device, you can make this Chipolo ONE Point ring through the system notification that you have received. After locating the item, use the steps described below to disable it. The owner will no longer receive updates on the location of this ONE Point, and it will no longer trigger unknown tracker alerts.
By pressing and holding the button:
- Locate the button in the center of the Chipolo ONE Point.
- Press and hold the button for about 30 seconds, and it will begin beeping in 1-second intervals.
- Release the button after you hear the 10th beep.
- When the ONE Point is disabled, you will hear a confirmation sound.
By removing the battery:
- Use your fingernail or insert a small tool in the gap on the side of the Chipolo ONE Point.
- Carefully pry open the device.
- Remove the battery.
- Close the Chipolo ONE Point by aligning the top holes on both lids.
How to re-enable the Chipolo ONE Point
Press the button:
- Press the button on your Chipolo ONE Point to re-enable it.
- When the Chipolo ONE Point is re-enabled, you will hear a confirmation sound.
Put back the battery:
- Use your fingernail or insert a small tool in the gap on the side of the Chipolo ONE Point.
- Carefully pry open the device.
- Place a CR2032 coin battery inside with the positive side up.
- Close the Chipolo ONE Point by aligning the top holes on both lids.
